A house in Sector 16-D, Chandigarh, was burgled between December 18 and December 28. Unidentified individuals allegedly broke into the locked residence of Pradeep, an attendant with the archaeology and museum department, while he was visiting his native village. The thieves reportedly stole gold and silver jewelry, including chains, rings, anklets, and waist belts, valued at several tolas. Police have registered a case of theft and house-breaking and are investigating, checking CCTV footage to identify the culprits.
