A girl's suspected death due to ragging in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh, has prompted the formation of a special investigation team led by a DySP-rank officer and supervised by senior IPS officer Soumya Sambasivan. The police assured a professional investigation into the matter. While a caste discrimination angle was initially raised, the Director General of Police stated that two of the three named girls also belong to the Scheduled Caste community, indicating all charges will be thoroughly probed.
