An elderly man, identified as 62-year-old Saju, died and his son-in-law, 33-year-old Ashish Nirmal, is in critical condition after their motorcycle was hit by a speeding taxi in Kochi. The accident occurred late Friday night in Kalamassery when the taxi struck their vehicle from behind, causing it to collide with a parked car. Police have registered a case against the taxi driver and taken him into custody.
