A man posing as a senior IPS officer has been arrested in Gujarat for allegedly orchestrating a job scam, defrauding families of Rs 2.36 crore by promising government positions. The accused, Vivek Dave, along with an absconding accomplice Hari Gamara, allegedly used elaborate impersonation tactics, including wearing a police uniform, to gain trust. The scam came to light after a family paid a significant sum for their son's appointment as a Deputy Superintendent of Police, which never materialized, leading to a police complaint.
