Two Militants Arrested in Manipur's Bishnupur Amid Security Operations

Security forces in Manipur's Bishnupur district arrested two militants linked to banned outfits on January 17, including an active member of the People's Liberation Army and another associated with PREPAK (Pro). The suspects are accused of extortion in the area and are in custody. Concurrently, security personnel destroyed 306 acres of illicit poppy cultivation in Kangpokpi district and continue search operations and area domination in vulnerable regions to maintain security and ensure safe movement along key routes.
