
The Bombay High Court has directed the Maharashtra State Legal Services Authority (MSLSA) to explore job opportunities for a rape survivor as part of her compensation. The court is hearing a petition from a woman who alleges she was sexually assaulted in Mumbai after being lured with a job offer. She seeks ₹10 lakh in compensation, stating that state failure to provide adequate protection makes it liable. The state has approved a ₹4 lakh compensation.
