Gangster Vinay Tyagi died Saturday from gunshot wounds sustained three days prior when two assailants allegedly opened fire on the police vehicle transporting him to court in Uttarakhand. Police arrested two individuals, identified as Sunny Yadav and Ajay, who reportedly confessed to the killing due to personal rivalry and financial disputes. Tyagi's family, however, alleges police complicity and negligence, demanding a CBI inquiry and claiming a conspiracy to seize his property. Three police personnel have been suspended for alleged dereliction of duty.
