A railway gatekeeper between Pudukottai and Tirumayam stations was allegedly attacked by a man on a motorcycle, reportedly in an inebriated state. The incident occurred when the gatekeeper closed the level-crossing gate for a train. The attacker reportedly used a small knife, causing a minor hand injury. Police registered a case and arrested one individual, identified as Karthi, aged 34, in connection with the assault.
