A 35-year-old CBI lawyer, Sheikh Adil Nabi, died following a vehicle collision on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in Ramban district. His car was reportedly hit from behind by a speeding Mahindra Scorpio near Banihal. Nabi, who had recently cleared the UPSC exam and was appointed as a public prosecutor with the CBI, sustained critical injuries and later succumbed. The driver of the Scorpio, Mohammad Shafi, has been arrested by the police.
