A family from Nandgaon, Nashik, working as sugarcane harvesters in Ahmednagar district, was allegedly attacked by over 18 individuals on suspicion of stealing chilies. The victims, including women and children, reported severe injuries and alleged molestation. MLA Suhas Kande has intervened, contacting the Superintendent of Police and demanding action to ensure workers' safety. The victims staged a protest to register their complaint, which has been transferred to local police. Social activists have condemned the incident and called for worker protection.
