
Pimpri-Chinchwad cyber police arrested seven to eight individuals from Maharashtra and Rajasthan in connection with an Rs 11.13 crore stock market and IPO investment fraud. The accused allegedly lured a retired private-sector employee with promises of high returns through a purported SEBI-registered share trading firm. The victim transferred funds via multiple transactions from November to January. Police investigations revealed the use of numerous bank accounts to route and withdraw money, leading to arrests and partial recovery of funds.
