Odisha police conducted coordinated raids at 46 locations across multiple districts, targeting organised cattle smuggling networks. The operation led to the seizure of cash worth over Rs 1.5 crore, gold, silver, vehicles, and other valuables, with properties worth around Rs 50 crore identified as proceeds of illegal trade. Nine to ten suspects were arrested, and investigations continue to trace financial backers and interstate links. The crackdown follows a prior attack on police by smugglers and aims to dismantle the smuggling network through legal action.
