Police in Bareilly have filed a chargesheet naming 38 individuals, including cleric Maulana Tauqeer Raza Khan, in connection with violence that occurred on September 26. The chargesheet alleges that a mob attacked police teams and chanted provocative slogans, including "sar tan se juda" (beheading), under Khan's alleged direction. This is part of a larger investigation with 10 FIRs registered and chargesheets filed in 10 main cases involving over 100 accused, 87 of whom are currently in jail.
