A robbery suspect, Santosh Kumar, escaped from police custody in Khanna on Thursday while being transported from Ludhiana for the recovery of a stolen motorcycle. Kumar, who was booked in a robbery case in Jamalpur, fled when the police vehicle stopped at a petrol pump. A manhunt has been launched by both Ludhiana and Khanna police. Kumar has now been booked in a new case at the Khanna City 2 police station.
