Domestic Worker Arrested for Alleged Theft of Silver Worth Rs 35 Lakh in Bengaluru

Bengaluru police arrested Chaitra, a domestic worker from Davangere, for allegedly stealing 12.5 kg of silver articles worth around Rs 35 lakh from her employer, a surgeon. The theft occurred in phases over two to two-and-a-half years, with items stored for festival use. She reportedly pawned the silver to fund her husband's cancer treatment and continued working to avoid suspicion before quitting shortly before Deepavali. All stolen silver has been recovered, and investigations continue.
