E-rickshaw Driver Arrested in Gurugram for Impersonating Police to Avoid Toll Tax

Mukesh Kumar, a 34-year-old e-rickshaw driver from Jhajjar, was arrested in Gurugram for impersonating a police sub-inspector to avoid paying toll taxes and to stay in hotels. He used a fake Special Police Officer ID card and a Haryana Police uniform, which he obtained for a total of Rs 2,700. The impersonation was uncovered after suspicious behavior at Hotel Shubham led to his arrest. Kumar frequently traveled between Jhajjar and Khatu, Rajasthan, where he operated the rented e-rickshaw.
