Raigad police arrested nine individuals in connection with the daylight murder of 75-year-old Mangesh Sadashiv Kalokhe in Khopoli. Kalokhe was attacked with swords, sickles, and an axe near Jaya Bar chowk while returning home after dropping his daughter at school. Police stated the murder was part of a pre-planned conspiracy. The accused attempted to evade capture by switching off phones and fleeing to various locations, but were apprehended through a coordinated manhunt involving 25 special teams.
