Four Arrested for Alleged Murder of Woman in Staged Accident Near Dharwad

Police arrested four men, including Udaykumar Hattaraki, for allegedly orchestrating the murder of his wife, Lalita Hattaragi, near Amminabhavi village on February 26. Initially treated as a hit-and-run, the case was reclassified as murder after dashcam footage and a complaint from the victim's father prompted investigation. Udaykumar reportedly hired accomplices with a payment of 40 lakh to stage the accident, motivated by ongoing divorce proceedings and land disputes. One suspect remains at large.
