His family claims the attack escalated after he objected to derogatory remarks made against him and his brother. While police initially registered an FIR days after the incident, five accused have been arrested, with one suspect absconding and a team dispatched to Nepal. Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has assured strict action and justice for the victim.
