Delhi Police Investigates Caste Abuse and Assault Allegations at Jamia Millia Islamia

Delhi Police registered an FIR against Associate Professor Riyazzudin of Jamia Millia Islamia's Civil Engineering department following allegations by employee Ramphool Meena of caste-based verbal abuse, physical assault, and humiliation. The incidents reportedly occurred between January 13 and 16. The university transferred Meena to another department but denied the assault claims and called a circulated video doctored. Police clarified no forceful religious conversion was alleged and are investigating the case under relevant SC/ST and penal provisions.
