ED Attaches Rs 18 Crore Assets in 1xBet Illegal Betting Investigation

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has provisionally attached assets worth Rs 18.10 crore related to the illegal online betting platform 1xBet, bringing total seizures in the case to Rs 37.23 crore. The ED alleges 1xBet operated without authorization in India, promoting betting through multiple mirror sites and using concealed fund collection methods involving UPI IDs and mule accounts. Investigations also revealed that Parthtech Developers LLP promoted 1xBet via cricket platforms CREX and OneCricket through structured advertisement agreements. Several celebrities, including former cricketers and actors, had assets attached for allegedly endorsing the platform through foreign entities.
