Jharkhand Police Arrest Five in Karni Sena Leader's Killing; Officials Removed
Jharkhand police have arrested five individuals, including three minors, in connection with the June 27 killing of Karni Sena youth wing chief Himanshu Singh in Jamshedpur. The incident began with a scuffle at a bar, escalating when associates of the accused attacked Singh and his companion, leading to Singh's death on June 29. Following public outcry, Chief Minister Hemant Soren removed two senior police officers for lapses in law enforcement. The victim's family agreed to cremate the body after receiving government assurances on job provision for the widow, arrest of all accused, and fast-tracking the trial.
