
In Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, a 30-month-old girl was allegedly killed by her mother, Ashalatha, and the mother's live-in partner, Reddy Kumar. The couple reportedly considered the child an obstacle to their planned marriage. After the girl went missing for two weeks, family members filed a complaint, prompting police to investigate. The child's body was recovered from the banks of the Swarnamukhi River and sent for postmortem. Both accused are in police custody, and a murder case has been registered.
