Gurugram Police Uncover Multi-Crore Insurance Fraud Involving Fake Hospitals

Gurugram police uncovered a large-scale insurance fraud involving four fake hospitals, over 500 ghost patients, and bogus doctors. The racket, led by 55-year-old A S Yadav, his two sons, and three employees, fabricated patient admissions, medical records, and bills to claim insurance payouts exceeding Rs 1 crore. Investigations revealed nearly 60 fake claim files linked to about 25 insurance companies. The scheme exploited the medical claims process, with insurers relying on private investigators rather than direct verification. The case emerged after a complaint and prior raids uncovered unqualified medical practitioners and fraudulent activities.
