Jharkhand CID Arrests Three Men for Digital Extortion in East Singhbhum

Jharkhand CID arrested three men—Rohit Kumar Jain, Sanjeev Kumar Mishra, and Lokesh Mehta—from East Singhbhum for digitally extorting over Rs 38.62 lakh. The accused allegedly impersonated Enforcement Directorate officials to place a person under 'digital arrest' and fraudulently obtained funds. The arrests followed a complaint lodged on February 27 and were made from two locations with local police assistance based on digital evidence.
