
In Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, Ram Singh Parihar, a retired railway employee with two wives, allegedly murdered his 35-year-old live-in partner, Preeti, following disputes over money. He reportedly burned her body inside a blue metal trunk and dumped the ashes in a river to destroy evidence. The crime surfaced when a loader driver became suspicious while transporting the trunk to Parihar's second wife's house. Police have taken two people into custody and are searching for the accused, who remains absconding.
