A Delhi court granted two-week interim bail to Jawed Siddiqui, chairman of Al-Falah University, citing his wife's ongoing chemotherapy and lack of immediate family support in India. The Enforcement Directorate (ED), investigating money laundering linked to alleged irregularities at the university, opposed the bail, arguing Siddiqui could influence the probe and that his wife's condition was stable with other family support available. The ED plans to challenge the bail in the Delhi High Court.
