A CBI special court in Panchkula has deferred the cross-examination of the US-based complainant in the castration case against Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh and two doctors, citing ongoing medical treatment. The court scheduled the next evidence recording for late February 2026, coordinating with the Consulate General of India in New York. While the complainant requested his counsel's presence at the remote video-conferencing location for support, the court allowed the counsel to be at the Consulate office but not inside the video-conferencing room, citing procedural rules.
