In Punjab's Malerkotla, a widow, her mother, and nine-year-old son died by suicide after allegedly consuming poison. Before her death, the woman recorded a video naming ten individuals, including her mother-in-law, accusing them of financial harassment and threats that drove her to the extreme step. Police have registered a case of abetment to suicide against the accused and are investigating the allegations. The family had been living with the mother after the husband's death years prior.
