A court in Mavelikkara is set to deliver a verdict on December 30th in the 2012 murder case of ABVP activist Vishal Kumar. The trial, which began after the Crime Branch took over the investigation due to initial delays, involves twenty accused, including a minor. Kumar, 19 at the time of his death, was an activist for the Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad, the student wing of the Sangh. The Campus Front of India, linked to the now-banned Popular Front of India, has been implicated in the case.
