Child Dies After Falling Through Broken School Bus Floor in Uttar Pradesh

On February 28, 2026, six- to eight-year-old Ananya, a UKG student at Mount International School, died after falling through a broken floor panel of a moving school bus in Kasganj district, Uttar Pradesh. The bus, reportedly carrying 40-50 children, had a damaged floor above the rear wheel where Ananya sat. After the accident near Dholna area, villagers accused the school and driver of negligence, leading to protests and the driver's apprehension. Police seized the bus and initiated an investigation.
