Seven-Year-Old Girl Dies After Falling Through Broken School Bus Floor in Uttar Pradesh

On February 28, 2026, seven- to eight-year-old Ananya, a UKG student at Mount International School in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, fell through a broken floor section of a moving school bus near Nagla Sadhu village in Kasganj district and was crushed under its rear wheels. The bus, reportedly carrying around 40-50 children, was operating without a valid fitness certificate. The driver initially delayed stopping and medical aid, leading to protests by villagers who accused the school and driver of negligence. Police have registered a culpable homicide case against the driver and school management and seized the vehicle for investigation.
