Young Girl Dies After Falling Through Broken Floor of School Bus in Uttar Pradesh

On February 28, 2026, seven- to eight-year-old Ananya, a kindergarten student at Mount International School in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, died after falling through a broken floor panel of a moving school bus near Nagla Sadhu village in Kasganj district. The bus, reportedly carrying 40-50 children and operating without a valid fitness certificate, had a damaged floor above the rear wheel where Ananya was seated. After the incident, the driver was detained, and the vehicle seized. Villagers protested, blaming the school and driver for negligence, while police registered a culpable homicide case against them.
