Punjab Police Arrest Two in Kapurthala, Seize Five Pistols Linked to Arms Supply Module

Punjab police arrested Ajay Kumar from Jalandhar and a 17-year-old juvenile in Kapurthala, recovering five country-made 7.65mm pistols. Investigations revealed the accused procured weapons from an unidentified source in Madhya Pradesh for about Rs 87,000 and were supplying them to criminal gangs. Authorities indicated possible links to foreign handlers based in the Philippines and the UAE. The weapons were reportedly intended for extortion and firing activities. Further investigations are ongoing under the Arms Act.
