Chhattisgarh Police Recover Cash, Arms, and Maoist Materials in Gariaband Operation

Security forces in Chhattisgarh's Gariaband district recovered over Rs 46 lakh in cash, arms, ammunition, and Maoist materials from multiple hideouts in the forested, hilly area of Sampasati near Badegobra village. The operation, based on information from surrendered Maoists, involved police units from Gariaband and Dhamtari districts. The recovered items included various firearms, rounds, detonators, a laptop, and mobile phones. Authorities credited sustained anti-Naxal efforts and rehabilitation schemes for the surrender of Maoist cadres in the region by January 2026.
