Shankar attributed this to various policing initiatives, including stern action against rowdyism and detentions under the Goondas Act. Significant seizures of ganja and banned tobacco products were also noted, alongside a reduction in other property and violent crimes. The police also highlighted efforts to improve public access and petition disposal.
