
A Punjab Police constable, Jagjit Singh, was allegedly killed late Friday night in Jagdev Kalan village, Amritsar, following an old rivalry. Reports indicate that 10 to 12 armed individuals attacked him at his home, also assaulting family members who intervened. Five suspects have been arrested, while others remain at large. The constable was rushed to a hospital where he was declared dead. Police have initiated an investigation and sent the body for post-mortem examination.
