Two pedestrians, a 70-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man, were killed in separate road accidents in Mulund on Saturday. The woman was hit by a speeding BEST bus near the Mulund (West) bus depot, and the man was struck by a dumper in Mulund Colony. These incidents led to protests by approximately 200 residents demanding restrictions on heavy vehicle movement in residential areas due to poor traffic regulation.
