A Thane businessman has filed a police complaint alleging he was defrauded of ₹50 lakh in a cooking oil deal. The complainant claims two Pune residents, Mukesh Pandey and Pallavi Raut, approached him with an offer to supply cooking oil at below-market rates and assured substantial resale profits. After transferring the money in installments between August 2020 and May 2021, the businessman reportedly never received the oil or a refund. Police have registered an FIR and are attempting to locate the accused.
