NIA Court Allows Dr. Shaheen Saeed to Meet Lawyer During Extended Custody

A special NIA court at Patiala House permitted Dr. Shaheen Saeed, accused in the November 2025 Red Fort blast case, to meet her lawyer, Advocate Rahul Sahani, for 15 minutes on January 15, 2026, while in NIA custody. Dr. Saeed's custody was extended by three days to continue investigations involving her and four other accused. The blast, carried out by suicide bomber Umar-un-Nabi, killed 15 people. All accused are scheduled to appear before the court on January 16.
