A 32-year-old man named Suhail from Alappuzha district, Kerala, has been booked for allegedly pronouncing triple talaq over the phone and subjecting his wife to physical and mental cruelty. The couple married in 2016 following Muslim customs. The complaint alleges dowry demands, abusive calls, threats, and a message claiming divorce via talaq. The case was registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Act, 2019. Police investigations are ongoing.
