Mumbai Police File Closure Report in Vashu Bhagnani's FIR Against Ali Abbas Zafar

Mumbai Police have filed a closure report in the FIR lodged by filmmaker Vashu Bhagnani against director Ali Abbas Zafar, executive producer Himanshu Mehra, and financial officer Ekesh Ranadive concerning alleged cheating, breach of trust, forgery, and defamation related to the 2024 film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. The police described the complaint as based on a 'misconception that there was a fraud' and found insufficient evidence for prosecution. Bhagnani has filed a protest petition opposing the closure report, and the Bandra Magistrate Court will decide on the matter.
