In Mumbai's Vile Parle area, a case has been registered against Iftekhar Ahmed for allegedly assaulting BMC official Suresh Rathod and videographer Dheeraj Panchal. The incident occurred when Panchal was videorecording a vehicle stopped by the flying squad, which Rathod and Panchal were part of for the upcoming Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation elections. Ahmed reportedly became agitated and assaulted the officials before driving away. He has been booked under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita related to deterring a public servant from duty.
