Enforcement Directorate Raids 18 Tamil Nadu Locations in Teacher Recruitment Scam Probe
The Enforcement Directorate conducted raids at 18 locations across Tamil Nadu, including Chennai, Trichy, Coimbatore, and Madurai, investigating a money laundering case linked to alleged manipulation of the 2017 government polytechnic lecturer recruitment exam. Over 100,000 candidates appeared for the exam, with around 200 linked to fake or manipulated mark sheets. The Greater Chennai Police had filed an FIR in 2017 and a chargesheet in 2021, while the ED is now tracing the money trail and identifying involved parties.
