Two Men Drown Attempting to Cross Flooded Culvert on Champa River in Madhya Pradesh
In Betul district, Madhya Pradesh, two men, Rajesh Bihare (42) and Daddu Dhurve (40), were swept away while attempting to cross a flooded culvert on the Champa river on Monday evening. Despite villagers advising them to wait for water levels to recede, they tried crossing on a motorcycle and were carried away by the strong current. Their bodies were found about one kilometer from the site the following morning. Police and locals conducted a search and have registered a case, with investigations ongoing.
