
A chlorine gas leak occurred at the Shree Vinayak Camex industrial unit in Tarapur MIDC, Palghar district, Maharashtra. The leak was detected and controlled promptly using breathing apparatus, with no injuries reported. Superintendent of Police Yatish Deshmukh, along with officials from the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board and Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health, visited the site. The cause of the leak is under investigation. Chlorine is a toxic, greenish-yellow gas that can irritate eyes and the respiratory system.
