A man, M. Arumugam, has been sentenced to life imprisonment by the Chengalpattu District Mahila Court for murdering his wife in Kannagi Nagar, Chennai, in December 2021. The court also imposed a one-year rigorous imprisonment for wrongful confinement and a fine. The prosecution stated Arumugam attacked his wife with a kitchen knife, causing fatal injuries.
