Bangladeshi Woman Detained at Guwahati Airport for Using Fake Aadhaar Card
A 24-year-old Bangladeshi woman was detained at Guwahati's Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport for using a forged Aadhaar card under the name Pooja Das, enabling illegal travel and employment in India. She reportedly entered India via the Tripura border with help from a middleman and traveled through multiple states. Authorities are investigating the creation of the fake identity document and a possible wider network facilitating cross-border movement. The woman was handed over to border officials for further inquiry.
