Lebanon-Born US Citizen Killed After Vehicle Attack on Michigan Synagogue

Ayman Mohamad Ghazali, a Lebanon-born naturalised US citizen, carried out a vehicle-ramming attack at Temple Israel, a large Reform synagogue in Michigan. The FBI is investigating the incident as a targeted act of violence against the Jewish community. Ghazali was shot dead by security personnel after crashing into the synagogue, which housed around 140 children and staff at the time. Authorities reported he had recently lost four family members in an Israeli airstrike in Lebanon, which may have influenced his actions. No casualties were reported among synagogue occupants, though some law enforcement officers were treated for smoke inhalation.
