Thane Travel Agent Accused of Cheating Ex-Serviceman of Rs 17.7 Lakh for Japan Tour

A travel agent in Thane has been accused of defrauding an 84-year-old retired Navy officer and his family of Rs 17.77 lakh. The agent allegedly promised to arrange a tour to Japan. The case was registered after the ex-serviceman's son-in-law met the agent, who runs a travel agency and advertises domestic and international tours. The incident reportedly occurred after a family function in July 2024.
